If you think automations make you look like a robot — you’re doing it wrong.
Done right, automations don’t make you less personal.
They make you consistently present, even when you’re off the clock.
Let’s break it down.
→ Sending the same welcome email over and over
→ Chasing replies and check-ins manually
→ Forgetting to follow up because, life
→ Spending hours a week on admin you hate
You’re burning out trying to be personal — but you’re not being consistent.
Clients fall through the cracks. Leads go cold. You know you should’ve followed up, but there’s just no time.
Here’s how I build automations that feel personal — and clients love them:
→ Triggered instantly when they buy or sign up
→ First email includes a warm video, not a cold “thanks for buying”
→ Walks them through next steps (what to expect, how to reach you, what to do first)
→ Bonus: Include a story or personal anecdote here so it feels like you
🛠️ Tool tip: Set this up as a 3-part email drip using Go High Level (or your CRM of choice).
→ Send a short “How’s it going?” message every week
→ Ask a simple question or include a one-click feedback option
→ Include a line like: “Just reply to this — I read them all.”
🛠️ Tool tip: Add a tag when someone replies so you can follow up personally when needed. Automate everything else.
→ Someone clicks but doesn’t book? Automate a message 48 hours later:
“Hey, I noticed you were checking out XYZ — any questions I can answer?”
→ If they ghost after a call, send a nudge three days later with a story or FAQ.
“Totally normal to sit with things. Here’s what most people ask before jumping in.”
🛠️ Tool tip: Create conditional workflows based on clicks or form fills. Trigger gentle follow-ups, not sleazy pitch emails.
→ Drip out content with milestones
→ Celebrate wins with pre-scheduled encouragements
→ Use their name. Reference their goal (you can collect this with a pre-course form)
🛠️ Tool tip: Use a “Goal” field in your CRM to personalise automated messages:
“Emma, you said you wanted to launch your course by June — let’s keep going. Here’s your next step.”
→ 1 week after finishing: Ask for feedback
→ 2 weeks later: Offer a next step or upsell
→ 30 days later: Ask for a testimonial or introduce referral bonus
🛠️ Tool tip: Build a 3-email re-engagement sequence tied to completion status.
→ Your clients feel seen, heard, and supported
→ You’re showing up without physically being there
→ Your experience feels “high touch” without draining you dry
